Notebook / Chapter F
What can I ask at a care visit?
A good question does not need a medical word. Use the words you already have.
What do I want help with?
Describe the problem in a sentence, including what bothers you, when it began and which activities you want to be able to do.
Then list what you have tried and what happened. Bring medicine names and questions you do not want to forget.
Which questions do I want to bring?

What if I leave without a clear answer?
Ask the person treating you to put the plan in plain words: what they think is happening, what comes next and what remains uncertain.
You can take time to read the answer before deciding what to do.
